Classes for May-July 2003

If you wish to try out a class, you can pay a drop-in rate. If you wish to sign up for the rest of the classes, the drop-in fee you paid would go toward the cost of the class. Please call ahead before showing up.

The Ballroom Babies for Couples class are for people who have babies or who are pregnant and their dance partners.

The drop-in fee is as follows:

• $15 for the Ballroom Babies for Couples classes
• $20 for the Salsa-Nightclub classes

Former and current Toronto Dance students may take these classes at a reduced price:

• $40 for the Ballroom Babies for Couples classes (4 hours over 4 weeks)
• $135 for the Salsa-Nightclub classes (10 hours over 10 weeks)

Practice Sessions recommended by Toronto Dance

We are currently recommending the following practice sessions for Toronto Dance students. These are ideal for beginner dancers. Please note, these are not lessons/classes but just a place to practice.

Toronto Dance or the premise are not responsible for any loss or injury incurred during the practices.

The Sat 4-6pm Salsa practice is run by students from various dance students and is non-profit. The cost is determined by the cost of the room rental divided by the number of people in attendance that week. Click here to see more information about the non-profit event.

Classes for April-May 2003

For the Sunday and Monday sessions, there are no classes on Apr 20/21 (Easter) and May 18/19 (Victoria Day).
Note: Sunday Apr 6 is daylight-saving time (move your clock ahead 1 hour).

WOMEN wanted for the Monday Salsa level 2 classes. There are 3 extra men in that class. You would be joining a class that started 3 weeks ago.

MEN wanted for the Sunday Salsa class starting March 30/31. We have about 5 young, single women in each class who would love to dance with you. Thank you all the men who signed up to the Monday Salsa class - we have enough now.

The fee to try one class is $15 (please call before showing up).
Payment is by cash or cheque only.

For the Ballroom Babies class, some of the money goes to a charity called Gems of Hope. There is also a weekly door prize draw.

For the Tues and Fri classes at the Granite Club, you have to be a member of the Granite Club in order to take the classes. For more information, click www.graniteclub.com.

Classes for March-May 2003

For the Sunday and Monday sessions, there are no classes on Apr 20/21 (Easter) and May 18/19 (Victoria Day).

The Monday Latin-Ballroom 1 class is full as of 2003-03-27.

The cost (taxes included) of the above one-hour classes are:

• $90 / person for 9 hours over 9 or 11 weeks ($10/h)
• $72 / person for past & current Toronto Dance participants ($8/h)
• $45 / person for repeating a class ($5/h)
• Drop-in fee is $15
  (please call before showing up)

Irish Step and Ceili Classes

Have you admired the dancers in Riverdance or Lord of the Dance? Try it in the following class:

• Irish Children A: Recreational Irish Step and Ceili for children ages 5 to 7
• Irish Children B: Recreational Irish Step and Ceili for children ages 8 to 11
• Irish Step: Recreational Traditional and Riverdance style Irish Step dance
  - learn steps and use them in a routine with the use of feet and arms
• Irish Basic Technique: Recreational Irish Dance basic technique and Traditional steps
  - no use of arms

Pay only $90 if you register and pay before Mar 22.
You may try single classes for $12. Payment is by cash or cheque only.

Practice Sessions hosted by Toronto Dance

We are currently offering two practice sessions for Toronto Dance students. Unfortunately at this time, the practice sessions are not available for the Irish Step students. Please note, these are not lessons/classes but just a place to practice.

Those wishing to take 2 or more classes during the same term get additional discounts:

• $9 discount for the second class
• $18 discount for the third class
